Fred Strauss is a prominent member of the Melville community, sharing his expertise in Computer Science and Engineering with Long Islanders as an educator with Polytechnic Institute of New York University’s Long Island Graduate Center.
Leading in his field as the CEO/President of Noetic, this former founder and CEO of FJS Associates and IBM Academic Initiative scholar’s interests include software engineering, project management, distributed systems and interpersonal relationships. He is a senior Life Member of the IEEE. His publications include a chapter in The Essential Coaching Book: Secrets to a Winning Life.” Strauss serves the community on the LIFT-IT Executive Committee, the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Career SIG and program/membership committees, is a former board member of the Foundation for Sight and Sound, a mediator for Business, Community and NYS Family Court, and an officer and member of various other professional societies.
Strauss is one of many talented instructors at NYU-Poly’s Long Island Graduate Center. The Graduate Center has long been a staple of Melville’s commercial landscape, helping Long Islanders advance their careers through innovative graduate programs that translate to professional application.
