Welcome to the Melville Chamber of Commerce
February is American Heart Month; a month to spread awareness about the importance of heart health. Each year, countless American families are impacted by heart disease and stroke. Although its risk factors can be prevented or controlled, it is still the leading cause of death for all Americans, and accounts for $1 out of every $6 health care dollars. But there are many simple steps we can take to prevent heart disease such as eating healthy foods, exercising regularly, and not smoking.
"A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood"
Please join the Melville Chamber in a month long exhibit presented at the Half Hollow Hills Library. The photos in this exhibit will be used to engage high school students in a writing contest to inspire an appreciation of the local beauty, culture and communication. Winners of the essay will receive a college scholarship. Reception to be held on February 3rd. Click on link below for more information and how you can sponsor this great cause.
